Traditionally, chocolate cakes are made with a lot of sugar, chocolate, butter, and flour, resulting in unnecessary calories. With this recipe for sugarfree lowcarb chocolate pie, you opt for a healthier version. This is especially suitable for those who want to eat sugar-free but still crave something sweet. Without the frosting, the entire cake contains only +/- 16 grams of carbohydrates with the ingredients below. The frosting adds +/- 24 grams of carbohydrates.

Ingredients

Sugarfree Lowcarb chocolate pie

  • 125 grams unsalted butter
  • 170 grams Steviala Ery-Bronze
  • 125 ml unsweetened cream
  • 3 eggs
  • 150 grams almond flour
  • 40 grams cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla essence or Steviala bourbon-vanilla drops

Sugarfree frosting

  • 125 grams Steviala Dark Chocolate Melties or Steviala Milk Melties
  • 60 grams unsalted butter
  • 100 grams Steviala Frost
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence or Steviala bourbon-vanilla drops

Finishing touch

  •  Raspberries

Baking supplies

  •  Springform pan of +/- 20 cm
  • Airfryer or oven
  • Food processor or mixer
  • 2 mixing bowls
  • Skewer
  • Cooling rack
  • Saucepan
  • Mixer

Preparation

Making sugarfree lowcarb chocolate pie

Preheat the Airfryer to 160°C. Combine all the ingredients in a food processor and mix well. Pour the batter into the springform pan and place it in the Airfryer for 25 minutes at 160°C. Once the low-carb chocolate cake is done, insert a skewer into it. If nothing sticks to the skewer, the sugar-free cake is perfectly baked!

Remove the chocolate cake from the Airfryer and let it cool on a cooling rack.

Meanwhile, melt the chocolate using a double boiler. Let it cool slightly, then add the butter, Steviala Frost, and vanilla essence. Mix well until smooth.

Once the chocolate cake has cooled, place it on a plate and spread it with the sugar-free chocolate frosting. If the frosting mixture is too thick, add a little extra milk or cream. Finish with raspberries or other fruit of your choice.

Tips

  • If you're baking the cake in the oven, bake it for 40 to 45 minutes in a preheated oven at 175°C.
