It's almost King's Day! So what could be more fun than making these festive King's Day donuts? With this recipe you will make delicious low carb and sugarfree chocolate donuts topped with an orange glaze with sugarfree Rainbow Sprinkles. What a party!

Ingredients

King's Day donuts

  • 100 grams Steviala coarse almond flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 grams xanthan gum
  • 30 grams Steviala Kristal Sweet
  • 50 grams butter (at room temperature)
  • 1 egg
  • 20 grams cocoa powder

Orange frosting with sugarfree rainbow sprinkles

  • 50 grams Steviala Frost powdered sugar substitute
  • 15 ml orange juice + splash of water if necessary
  • orange food coloring
  • Steviala sugarfree rainbow sprinkles

Baking supplies

  • Tefal Snack Collection with mini donut molds (or the Tefal Cake Factory)
  • mixing bowl

Preparation

Making King's day donuts

First, start by making the King's day donuts batter. Make sure all the ingredients are at room temperature. Then mix the butter until fluffy, along with the Steviala Kristal Sweet and the egg. Then add the Steviala coarse almond flour, baking powder, xanthan gum and cocoa powder. Mix this into an even King's Day donut batter.

Then heat the Tefal Snack Collection with mini donut plates or the Tefal Cake Factory. Then divide the Kings Day donuts batter into one of the two Tefal appliances and bake the donuts until cooked. Then let the donuts cool.

Making sugarfree orange glaze

Then get to work on the orange glaze to decorate these King's Day donuts. Mix the orange juice with the Steviala Frost powdered sugar substitute and mix to make an even glaze. Add another splash of water or milk if the texture is still not to your liking. Finally, add orange food coloring as well.

Then fill a small bowl with the Steviala sugarfree Rainbow Sprinkles. Then, one by one, dip the donuts first in the orange frosting and then in the sugarfree sprinkles. Place the King's Day donuts on a plate and put it in the refrigerator for 30 minutes so that the frosting hardens. After that, you can start enjoying these festive King's Day donuts!
